As the fog over Windrest grows thicker, Season 1 of Mistfall Hunter is drawing to a close. Bellring Games has officially announced the Season 1 reset rulebook, unveiled concept art for the highly anticipated Black Arrow weapon, and overhauled the game’s six class foster through two months of meticulous balance adjustments. For Gyldhunters whose warehouses is full, the message is clear: Soul Hunt isn’t over yet, but the countdown to the end of the season forces them to consider what to do with all that loot.

Soul Hunt Reaches the Home Stretch

Mistfall Hunters officially launched on July 30, 2026, published by Skystone. Season 1, Soul Hunt, went live simultaneously on PC, PS5, and Xbox platforms on the very first day of release. Its core gameplay mechanic, Soul Harvest, launched on August 12, allowing players to lead squads to various locations in the game to search for treasures, which they can then sell through the in-match merchant Richie. According to Bellring, based on the 8th developer update, as of August 20, more than 1.5 million Gyldhunters had joined the game.

The studio previously stated in an official community Q&A that each season is planned to last approximately three to four months. If counted from July 30, Season 2 would begin sometime between late October and late November 2026, though this has not yet been officially confirmed. Bellring noted that the exact schedule will be announced via developer updates.

What the Reset Takes — and What It Keeps

Development Notes #8, released on August 20, serves as an official source of information. Character levels, inventory items, and certain camp structures will be reset at the start of the new season. However, as a long-term feature, progress on the Collection Pedestal will not be lost but will be carried over.

Of course, this is not a 100% reset; some accumulated assets will be returned in the form of redeemable rewards. The rewards listed by Bellring in this update include Pip’s Rare Pouch, unbound Holy collectibles, Holy Soulcatch Nets, exclusive cosmetics, and tiered Combat Bags. Bellring has even prepared additional exclusive honor rewards for players with higher net assets from Season 1, but the redemption rates and specific reward details have not yet been announced. Bellring has promised to provide a comprehensive and detailed explanation at the end of Season 1.

The End-of-Season Checklist

In an extraction game, your inventory is working capital, not a retirement fund. With the equipment and materials in your inventory about to be reset, the final few weeks are naturally the best time to use up your stock for quests, upgrades, and Soul Harvest attempts—rather than hoarding them until the very last day. Activities still worth doing: Make sure to push through the seasonal quests; the previous two updates have made them easier. Progress on the Collection Pedestal will be preserved, and it will continue to provide the loot you’ve collected. Given these activities that remain in the game, it’s clear that it’s better to use these items to keep them in circulation rather than hoarding them. Players with limited playtime can utilize the Mistfall Hunter Service as a valuable tool for end-of-season preparations. Remember: before making any irreversible decisions, be sure to wait for the detailed season reset announcement.

Season 2: A New Weapon, a New Mode, a New Progression Track

Although specific dates, themes, and related data have not yet been announced, Bellring has confirmed the development direction for Season 2. The most notable feature is Blackarrow’s second weapon, the Javelin. DevNote #8 revealed concept art for this weapon and mentioned that it is already in full-scale development. Even though details such as its corresponding abilities and damage stats have not yet been disclosed, this is enough to pique players’ interest.

The September 30 Phase 2 AMA added substance: a brand-new seasonal mode with a dedicated exchange shop and reduced grind, a season-exclusive progression system separate from the Path of Glory ladder, and across-the-board increases to drop rates. A shard exchange system will ease camp material shortages, Combat Bags will stay easy to acquire with higher stack limits, and a dedicated Gem Warehouse is coming. To curb duplicate-class squads, Bellring is preparing damage falloff and crowd-control diminishing returns rather than a composition ban. One balance target is already named: the Withered Knight's underperforming Enhanced Shield Bash build, likely to receive significant adjustments.
